Answers and advice from one woman entrepreneur to another

    Allison-Statter

Welcome to Mentor Sessions. This is your chance to get answers to all of those questions you know you want to ask, from one woman entrepreneur to another.  This week I’m featuring Allison Statter, the co-founder of Blended Strategy Group with Sherry Jhawar. Prior to launching BSG, Allison spent 16 years in the entertainment industry sharpening her executive acumen under the guidance of her father, music mogul Irving Azoff. Through her time working in entertainment and her family’s connections, Allison has built an intimate network of Hollywood’s who’s who. With Sherry, the former Global Head of Marketing at eos Products, Allison saw an opportunity to leverage her inside track to help broker deals between brands and influencers.

If there’s someone who understands influencer marketing -what makes it good, bad, and in the best cases incredibly powerful- it’s Allison. During our interview she shared her insight into what brands look for when choosing influencers to work with and offered up advice she’s learned in her first year of business. But don’t take it from me, check out our interview clips below to hear straight from Allison!

    Winning your first clients

The Travel Host | An Interview with Host & Executive Producer of Rhythm Abroad, Brittany Pierce

Finding Your Rhythm Abroad with Brittany Pierce

In this episode of Toast Meets Jam I caught up with Brittany Pierce, the host and executive producer behind the dance-centric travel series, Rhythm Abroad. We decided to meet at one of my favorite Brentwood spots, Coral Tree Cafe. While we drank in our lattes, Brittany shared the journey she’s been on from her first international trip to becoming the creator of her own travel series on PBS.

After graduating college, Brittany began her career as a reporter for  Channel 4 San Diego. However, it wasn’t long before  she was called to pursue her love for travel. When the opportunity to join another network as a travel host failed to present itself, she took matters into her own hands. Living by her motto to “lead by faith, not by sight” Brittany set out to create a show of her own.
