    Single Girl’s Guide to the Elevated Classics of Wedding Guest Beauty

    Wedding #1 of 5 is coming up this weekend (and I’m riding solo for this one). I’m counting down to the moment I get off the plane in San Francisco and reunite with my high school friends as we celebrate the first of us getting hitched. My dress is on the way, and my dancing shoes are packed. My friend is a professional photographer so aside from the 8 hours of sleep and the vitamins I plan to take, I’m taking my make-up game to the next level in anticipation of the photo booth and Instagram feed they’re projecting in real-time at the reception.

    I’m all about elevated classics, so I found great tips from some of our favorite blogs that allow me to stay just within my comfort zone but up the glam game for this special occasion.

December 31st is not the time to play it safe and wear your same old little black dress and follow your same old makeup routine. It’s a time for true glitz and glamour and, even if you’re just at home when the ball drops, why not have a little fun and take a risk with your make-up? 2013 has been a major year for all things beauty (crazy manicures, blue lips) so if you haven’t had the chance or the courage to try something new just yet, now is your time to shine. Here, a few of the best beauty looks from this year and how to incorporate them into your New Year’s look. To keep your face looking perfect late into the night be sure to incorporate primer, a setting spray, and waterproof mascara.
