The Brand Gal | An Interview with Kelsey Borlan Lee, founder of The Brand Gals

In this episode of Toast Meets Jam I get the scoop from the gal behind The Brand Gals, Kelsey Borlan Lee. We joined up at Aroma Coffee and Tea, one of Kelsey’s favorite brunch spots in Studio City. The cafe is the sister to The Alcove cafe, a spot you might be familiar with if you caught this interview. With a great outdoor patio that wraps around the restaurant, the spot is the perfect place to enjoy a sunny Sunday. Their menu runs the gamut from healthy VGF friendly fare to decadent desserts. Kelsey opted for a traditional bacon and eggs breakfast while I dug into a tofu and broccoli rice bowl. While we chowed down, she explained how The Brand Gals came to be.

    More About Kelsey

Kelsey-Borlan-LeeKelsey found her start in the world of brand building as a photographer. Under her company, Kelsey Rae Photography, she found a passion for helping entrepreneurs build their businesses. Up Next on Toast Meets Jam – Kelsey Borlan Lee!

An Interview with Kelsey Borlan Lee, founder of The Brand Gals

Coming up next on Toast Meets Jam… Kelsey Borlan Lee, founder of The Brand Gals.

I first met Kelsey at Snap, a photography/Instagram workshop for entrepreneurs. I’d learned about the workshop fittingly through Instagram where I’d been following The Brand Gals. The adoring fan (read Instagram stalker) in me had to get Kelsey on the show to talk about the creation of her beautiful branding company. Luckily for all of us she obliged.

We met up for brunch at Aroma Cafe in Studio City where Kelsey divulged her journey from getting started as a one-woman kids’ photographer to running a multi-faceted team of brand builders. Tune in to Toast Meets Jam next week to catch the full interview, learn more about The Brand Gals,  and get a look behind the scenes!

    Cheers!

Learning to Live Authentic with the founders of Vrai & Oro

One of the thing that most excites me about leading The Single Diaries is that it has been an incredible way to get to connect with other entrepreneurial young women. The more time we spend growing the site, the more women we come across with inspiring stories to tell. From starting their own yoga practices to traveling the world volunteering to building their own companies, we have been able to use the site to tell some pretty amazing stories from our Single Girls.  It is my hope that not only does our site help to spread the word about the work they are doing but also inspires you, our readers, to go after whatever it is that you are most passionate about. At the end of the day our mission is to help you be authentically you and to provide you with the advice to help you live the life you want to lead.

The latest Single Girls I had the pleasure of sitting down with have built a company around that same vision. Vanessa and Chelsea are the leading ladies behind the just-launched jewelry site Vrai & Oro. Their brand promise is to bring you fine jewelry without the markups but their purpose goes much deeper.

I sat down with these two to learn more about the lifestyle of authenticity they hope to inspire through their high-quality jewelry and to learn more about the journey that has led these two young women on a mission to disrupt the long-standing jewelry industry.

The Travel Host | An Interview with Host & Executive Producer of Rhythm Abroad, Brittany Pierce

Finding Your Rhythm Abroad with Brittany Pierce

In this episode of Toast Meets Jam I caught up with Brittany Pierce, the host and executive producer behind the dance-centric travel series, Rhythm Abroad. We decided to meet at one of my favorite Brentwood spots, Coral Tree Cafe. While we drank in our lattes, Brittany shared the journey she’s been on from her first international trip to becoming the creator of her own travel series on PBS.

After graduating college, Brittany began her career as a reporter for  Channel 4 San Diego. However, it wasn’t long before  she was called to pursue her love for travel. When the opportunity to join another network as a travel host failed to present itself, she took matters into her own hands. Living by her motto to “lead by faith, not by sight” Brittany set out to create a show of her own.
