The PR Maven | An Interview with Vilte Co. Founder Vilte Holstad

Paris, PR, & Paving Your Own Way with VilteCo. Founder Vilte S. Holstad

In this episode of Toast Meets Jam I caught up with Vilte S. Holstad, the founder behind the PR creative VilteCo. Our brunch of choice was Sunny Spot, a favorite of ours here in Venice. As we dug into our delish dishes, she took me on her journey from moving to Paris to founding her own PR company.

After graduating from college with a degree in design, Vilte began working in various PR roles both with small and large brands. Her desire to expand into other aspects of the industry drew her to Paris where she worked with a French designer and covered Paris Fashion Week.Upon Vilte’s return to the states, it didn’t take long for her to realize she was ready to step out on her own. It was then that the idea for VilteCo. first came to life.

VilteCo. is a boutique PR creative with a focus on traditional outreach, social media management, and blogger placement. Though open to companies of all sizes, the creative is especially drawn to working with startups in the LA area.

Your Guide to Planning a Single Girls’ Boozy Brunch

    boozy brunch

Growing up my favorite part about Easter was hands down the all you can eat brunch buffet that was sure to follow the Sunday service.  It was tradition in our family to make our way to a celebratory feast that would break whatever Lenten fast we’d undertaken. It was the greatest meal we’d eat since Christmas and I always anxiously looked forward to it.

Fast forward to 2014 and brunch has been cemented as one of my favorite meals. Our Easter tradition has impressed upon me the notion that brunch is a time to celebrate and indulge in good company and good food. No longer is it reserved for a once a year soiree but instead has taken hold as the fête of choice no matter the celebration.

While the basics of brunch have remained tried and true (eggs, bacon, pancakes, …) there is of course one big difference between the mid-day meals of my youth and my twenties – the booze. If you ask me, no brunch is complete without a steady flow of sparkling cocktails and fruity concoctions.

With one week between us and Easter it’s time to get your own brunch affairs in order. Going out is great but we propose using the occasion as the perfect excuse to host a Single Girls’ boozy brunch of your own. Wondering what it takes to make it memorable? Look no further, we’ve got the tips you need to keep the drinks flowing and the guests happy.

  • The Single Diaries Brunches With PR Diva Jamie Madrid

    Jamie-Madrid_2013

Jamie Madrid-Mehta moved to L.A. after college (a Journalism and Marketing Communications major) and dove head first into Public Relations. Years later, she took the plunge and started her eponymous firm Jamie Madrid Consulting. Representing the fashion, beauty, accessory, restaurant and lifestyle industries through her array of clients, Jamie has been called a “PR Diva with impeccable taste and truly great connections.” This mid-twenties Midwesterner is the antithesis of generation Y: a self-made go-getter who isn’t afraid of risk or commitment. With the brains to back it up, she’s a recipe for success.

I met Jamie a few years ago through a friend; we had a breakthrough conversation at that friend’s tea during which Jamie first told me about her plans to launch her company, and we have stayed in touch since. One Sunday we met at Sunny Spot, my favorite neighborhood haunt for bottomless brunch libations. In between rounds of mimosas, Jamie reflected on her experience thus far.
